The effort to improve TransJakarta bus services is continuously done by Jakarta Provincial Government. Starting next year, the procurement of TransJakarta bus will be focused on European standard buses.

“We will start to buy European standard buses. Their suspension is more comfortable than Avanza or Xenia,” stated Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ Tjahaja Purnama, Sunday (11/9).

Not only that, Ahok added, next year Jakarta Provincial Government will also launch TransJakarta bus intended only for women.

“The articulated (TransJakarta) bus will be filled by women in the front side, and men in the back side. It is planned that the bus will be operated in December,” he said.
